LONGD:

LongD is an app and website that provides the long-distance traveler with convenient, efficient, safe, flexible and economical intercity ground transportation service. LongD will launch as an intercity ridesharing service between large municipalities and large universities in the midwest with an eye to national expansion.

Founder:

LongD founder & CEO, Antonio Vernon, is a gig economy veteran. He has completed over 25,000 Uber trips, including over 5000 in 2016, 2017 & 2018. He has provided on-demand transportation for Uber, Lyft, Sidecar and Via. He has experience on the advance reservation side of the gig economy via hundreds of tasks (mostly furniture assembly and delivery) as an elite TaskRabbit tasker. Vernon holds an M.B.A. in Finance, with distinction, from the University of Michigan and an M.A. in Statistics from Washington University. He was a financial reporting and strategic planning analyst and managed pizza delivery services in college. Before college Vernon was an elite mathlete.

Corporate Mascot

Lonnie, also known as the LongD Stallion or Lonnie the LongD Stallion, is the official corporate mascot of LongD Services, Inc. Lonnie is a horse (Equus ferus caballus) who by biological custom was assigned male at birth. His personal pronouns are he/him/his. However, he is known to sometimes present himself in a male voice and sometimes in a female voice.

Who is your favorite actor? I love anything by the Italian Stallion (Sylvester Stallone).
What is your favorite quote or phrase? The phrase “Hi-ho, Silver! Away!” makes me want to get after it.
Who is at the top of your playlist right now? I am always banging some Megan Thee Stallion.
What is your favorite part of history? The Pony Express was something special.
What is your favorite form of transportation? Ford Mustang has a rich history that I connect with and enjoy.
Who do you look up to? The black horses at Porsche and Ferrari that have achieved corporate logo status in the automotive transportation industry are important to me.

Are there issues about which your male voice and female voice disagree? Male voice: My favorite color is blue. Female voice: I am addicted to maize.
That is an interesting disagreement. Is that the best one you’ve got? Male voice: Best all-time performance by a horse in a supporting role was Paul Revere’s ride (lower case R). Female voice: I am going with Lady Godiva’s horse.

Meet The Mascot

If you are interested in meeting the LongD Stallion you can look forward to his bachelorette escort service special. A human-sized likeness of him (cardboard, blowup and/ or stuffed but yet-to-be-determined) will be available for purchase for bachelorette or bachelor (depending on your preferences) parties. He will serve as an escort for the parties.
